Aquativity is a team (association) of local and regional professionals dedicated to the service and support of the boating industry in North Africa and the Middle East.
Our mission is to provide professional, qualified and above all safe, local solutions to private and professional needs. Our goal is to make boating a more accessible and safe activity in the region, through the development of local resources.
David Megalli, founder and lead instructor, grew up in Cairo and started sailing on the Nile when he was 7. In 2009, he started the sailing centre in Marina Wadi el Dome. In 2011, he received his Royal Yachting Association Yachtmaster Offshore and Cruising Instructor certification from Rock Sailing Gibraltar in 2011. RYA Yachtmaster Coastal and Offshore Certificates of Competence are recognised and respected around the world and are the ultimate aim of many skippers. A Yachtmaster is a yachtsman or woman competent to skipper a cruising yacht on any passage that can be completed without the use of astro navigation.
