David Megalli, founder and lead instructor, grew up in Cairo and started sailing on the Nile when he was 7. In 2009, he started the sailing centre in Marina Wadi el Dome. In 2011, he received his Royal Yachting Association Yachtmaster Offshore and Cruising Instructor certification from Rock Sailing Gibraltar in 2011. RYA Yachtmaster Coastal and Offshore Certificates of Competence are recognised and respected around the world and are the ultimate aim of many skippers. A Yachtmaster is a yachtsman or woman competent to skipper a cruising yacht on any passage that can be completed without the use of astro navigation. Sailing lessons for adults and children are offered at Dome Marina Sailing Center at Marina el Wadi Dome in Ain Sokhna. Lessons are conducted in Arabic and English and limited French and Spanish. David is available for guest instructor at your sailing centre.
